We take a closer look at the best bike racks for the Nissan Rogue in this article.

We know everything there is to know about vehicle accessories. For over a decade, we’ve been testing and reviewing various accessories, so you can trust us to assist you in making a better choice.

In terms of Nissan Rogue bike racks, we believe the IKURAM R 3 Bike Rack offers the most balanced package. It has a high load capacity and will easily accommodate most standard to large sized bikes.

We looked at the build quality and design of each bike rack when preparing this review. Another feature that might make or break it for us is the utility each rack provides.

Keeping this in mind, read on to learn more about the best bike racks for the Nissan Rogue.

Ikuram 3 Bike Rack

Overall Best

The Ikuram R 3 bike rack is designed for the person who requires a sturdy bike rack with an even sturdier bike mount. It’s a well-made rack with excellent fit and a convenient folding style.

This awesome rack is made of the same alloy steel that we see on other high quality bike racks. We find it to be sturdy and very well put together. A powder coat treatment prevents rust and corrosion while also providing a smooth appearance.

We found this rack’s dual-arm mounting style to be fairly secure. It is also quite simple to mount your bicycles on the rack. The arms are also far enough apart to accommodate all of your bikes without letting them come into contact with each other or the Nissan Rogue’s bodywork.

With this rack, we evaluated a wide range of bike designs and have no complaints about fitment. Even when fully loaded with three bikes, the rack tilts forward to offer convenient lift gate access on the Nissan Rogue.

The carrying arms fold away into a more compact footprint when the rack is not in use. When you don’t need the rack, this is also a great way to store it.

It was a simple task to install. We were able to have the rack up and running in less than 20 minutes. It fits a normal 2-inch receiver hitch and comes with all necessary mounting hardware.

It has a load capacity of three bikes weighing up to 110 pounds in total. That is good for most bikes, and we discovered that if you are in a hurry, you can get away with adding a little more weight, although we would not suggest doing this for longer journeys.

Moving on to some unique features, we welcome the padding in the bike cradles, which shields the paintwork of your bike from scratches, dents, and other damage. The hitch is meticulously crafted and quite stable.

Even at high speeds, it did not wobble or move around very much on the Nissan Rogue’s rear. The cradle straps themselves are composed of high-quality, UV-resistant rubber that won’t break down over time.

Pros

  • Alloy steel construction
  • Black powder coat finish
  • Resistant to corrosion and rusting
  • Holds up to 110 lbs
  • Each bike is individually secured using cradle straps
  • Padding on the cradles saves bike from damage
  • UV resistant rubber straps are more durable
  • Adjustable design can hold many different types of bike
  • Tilting design allows for easy lift gate access
  • Carrying arms can be folded for easier storage
  • Does not bang up against the Nissan Rogue’s body panels or make much noise

Cons

  • Some drivers needed to use extra washers for more stability

Deluxe Trunk Mounted Bike Rack

Best Budget

This Allen Sports bike rack for the Nissan Rogue is one of our favourite budget selections. It’s a petite trunk-mounted bike rack with a surprisingly robust bike mount. The fact that it is so affordable only adds to the allure.

The alloy steel utilised in the construction of this rack is reinforced with two sturdy straps, one on each side, for a more secure fit. Moreover, the low price might as well be a feature in and of itself.

It is not, however, as flimsy or low quality as some other budget racks. In fact, it’s a sleek design that’s ideal for Nissan Rogue drivers who don’t require a bike rack every second of every day. You won’t have to worry about driving with an unladen rack because it’s dead simple to detach when you don’t need it.

This rack is built to only carry one bike at a time. Sturdy tie-downs that attach to the frame keep your bike in place. The rack is set back from your Nissan Rogue so that the handlebars and front wheel do not come into contact with the car. The car will not be scratched or dented by the bike.

We put this bike rack to the test in a variety of driving environments with the Nissan Rogue. It exceeded expectations even on rougher terrain, with no swinging or wobbling of the bike. You won’t be bothered by random noises coming from the rack, either.

It is equipped with wider carrying arms than other affordable racks we’ve tried. As a result, longer-wheelbase bikes can be attached to the back of your Nissan Rogue.

The lower frame is lined with softer material to prevent scrapes and scratching on your Nissan Rogue.

The setup is straightforward. There are no additional tools involved, and all mounting hardware is supplied in the box. Another advantage of this Nissan Rogue bike rack is that it comes with a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty.

Pros

  • Alloy steel build
  • Most compact design of any rack
  • Side straps keep rack very stable
  • Ideal for drivers who only occasionally need the rack
  • Very easy to install
  • Holds 1 bike
  • Straps secure bike at the frame
  • No rattling or creaking noises
  • Wide design can hold larger bikes
  • Padded lower frame protects car bodywork
  • Limited lifetime warranty provided
  • Most affordable bike rack

Cons

  • Only holds one bike

KAC K2-RT Hitch Mounted Rack 2-Bike

Premium Choice

This two-bike platform is the classic bike rack. It’s made of the highest-quality materials and can effortlessly support even the heaviest bikes, all while delivering a very secure fit.

Almost all of the components in this rack are constructed with high-quality alloy steel. It is well-built and does not wobble or move around much on the back of the Nissan Rogue.

This bike rack is protected from rust and corrosion by a special black powder coating. It also has a sharper look than basic alloy steel.

It can accommodate two adult-sized bikes, each of which is held by a patented cradle system. For both bikes, it has a tray style loop and individual tie-down straps. To avoid damaging the bikes, the carrying arms that hold them at their frame are padded in soft material.

The load capacity of this Nissan Rogue bike rack is its best attribute. It can carry 120 pounds according to the manufacturer, and the 5″ trays can securely hold fat tyre bikes and electric bikes.

It has a 2″ hitch, which lends a lot of stability. Because of the specific anti-wobble design that reduces slack between the receiver and rack, the fully loaded rack mounted on the Nissan Rogue does not wobble.

This rack is notably larger than other platform racks, but it has a convenient fold-up feature.. When the rack isn’t in use, it collapses into a smaller form factor.

Even when the bike rack is stacked with bikes, you can tilt it forward. This makes it easy to use the liftgate and access your Nissan Rogue’s cargo area.

The rack is simple to put together and shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. One thing to keep in mind is that some low-Y frame bikes will require an adaptor to fit properly.

So to sum up, we really liked KAC’s 2-bike platform rack and think it’s the best bike rack for the Nissan Rogue owner who has a bit more money to spend.

  • Alloy steel frame
  • Black powder coating
  • Rust and corrosion resistant
  • 120 lbs load capacity
  • Holds 2 bikes
  • 5” tray style loop
  • Padded main masts prevent scratching
  • Can hold fat tire bikes and e-bikes
  • 2” hitch is very stable
  • Does not move around at high speed
  • Anti wobble system eliminates slack between rack and receiver
  • Can be folded when not in use
  • Tilting mechanism for easier liftgate access
  • Easy installation
